Lifestyles of the Jetset and Fabulous

Hi Everyone! Spring break is finally here and I have some amazing trips planned! Tomorrow afternoon I leave for Rarotonga, capital of the Cook Islands. My group and I are going there as part of a class trip (i.e. BU paid vacation) for 5 days. Some of our planned activities in the Cooks include a lagoon boat cruise, dancing lessons (like those seen in Hawaii), an island night feast and show, as well as a cultural exchange at a local elementary school. And this is all just in the first week of spring break! When my group and I return from the Cooks, we're attending a New Zealand rugby match on Saturday. Rugby is not just a sport here in New Zealand, but a national religion, literally. The All Blacks (NZ's team) will be playing their arch rivals, the Australian Wallabies (pretty corny name, isn't it?). THEN, on Sunday, I'm flying into Christchurch for a 7-day roadtrip with my friends around New Zealand's South Island. We will be driving RVs and visiting such cities as Dunedin, Queenstown, and Marlborough. I am so excitied for this trip and I will let you know how it went as soon as I return. This is going to be the best spring break ever!

Saturday Night Fever

Here I am with the ladies before we headed to the clubs on Saturday night. It was a treat for ourselves after working so hard this past week on our many papers.

To Market to Market We Go

Saturday morning, my friends and I woke up at the crack of down (literally) to visit the Otara polynesian market. It's a HUGE outdoor market that sells everything from jewelry to clothing to fresh fruits and vegetables. Here is a picture of Bethany and Julia drinking from a coconut they bought that day.
