A Tribute

Monday morning, ABC news anchor Peter Jennings past away. I was stunned and deeply saddened by the news and I felt it was necessary for me to pay him homage. He was a fixture in American television, but more importantly, a pillar of strength and humanity to the American people. I grew up watching Peter Jennings, from his coverage of New Years Around the World in 2000 to the tragic events of September 11. He was comforting, reassuring, and utterly humane in his coverage of the 9/11 events; I will always appreciate and remember him for that. Although I did not know him personally, he certainly made an indelible impact on my life and I am incredibly saddened by his passing. He will be greatly missed.
